About Daria

Daria Astara has pursued two life interests that turned out to be one.
Since she was ten years old, Daria has written poetry. Her love of language grew into a thirty-five year career as a professional writer and editor. In 2026, she published her debut poetry collection, Writing to Heal and Healing to Write: Poems of a Liminal Life, under her imprint, Healing Star Press.
Meanwhile, a seemingly separate path had also quietly unfolded. She had been drawn almost thirty years ago into trying energy healing — and then becoming a practitioner to “figure out how it worked.” After 15 years, plus learning over a dozen modalities, she developed her own healing method, one that clears the hidden beliefs and patterns that keep people from peace and confidence. Today she offers this process of accelerated personal development to clients all over the world via video conference.
Daria has spoken publicly about healing and possibility at Unity and Unitarian churches. Her ongoing inquiry into what healing is and how to create more of it drives her writing for practitioners on Substack. She has created a supportive Patreon community for writers of liminal and experiential works.
Today Daria continues to work with healing practitioners, leaders, and other writers. She helps them heal, deepen their work, and find joy in sharing what matters.
Daria holds a degree in economics from Cornell University. She lives in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, with her two rescue dogs.
About Healing Star Press

Healing Star Press plans to publish books that live at the edges, in that liminal space where healing meets creative expression, where intuition meets the page, and where experiences that don’t fit neatly into mainstream categories finally find a home.
Founded by healer and poet Daria Astara, Healing Star Press is built on the belief that liminal experiences such as visions, healing stories, consciousness, and transformation deserve serious literary attention.
Healing Star Press welcomes voices that illuminate the human journey and what it means to heal, grow, and become more fully oneself.
